“Mind Booty and Soul” Archives is a surreal, dreamlike video exploring female identity and behavior as depicted in turn-of-the century commercials and advertising.

The first segment (“Commercial #1”) depicts an end-of-date scene where a passive, hesitant white male fails to initiate a kiss despite clear cues from his white female date.  Her patience runs out, and she flips the script — assertively initiating an aggressive kiss herself, reversing the expected gender roles of who is passive vs. aggressive, and who gives vs. receives.
